And then one company collapsed and hundreds of chips effectively disappeared overnight. Efabless going out of business at the end of February hit the community like a hammer. They weren’t just an MPW... 2026-01_media/keepcalmandmakeasics-94603.jpeg {Reactions} ❤️ (4) waferspace 💜 [2026-01-05 8:15 p.m.] mattvenn Happy new year everyone! [2026-01-05 9:11 p.m.] anfroholic Cool! First I've heard about the mini-MosBius. That's neat! Looking forward to 2026 as well!! I also subscribed to your newsletter and look forward to reading those! Keep up the great work Matt! {Reactions} 👍 [2026-01-08 12:57 a.m.] anfroholic I know this is a little different than the steps for GF180MCU, but this asianometry video shows all the steps in making 45nm wafers. (There are a lot of steps, like a whole lot!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUgy29h0alM {Embed} Asianometry https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUgy29h0alM Let’s Break Down the 45nm Process Node My deepest thanks to Mr. Kaiko Minakata for his process breakdown. This looks amazing Bunnie, can't wait to see more! This also led me to listen to a 14yr old [the-amp-hour-84-bunnies-bibelot-bonification](https://theamphour.com/the-amp-hour-84-bunnies-bibelot-bonification/) podcast where he made a prediction about the future. He predicted there would not be much architectural improvements, because moore's law was moving so fast, but eventually when that slowed down we would start to see some novel and new approaches. Seems it's coming true in the best way!! @bunnie did you think you'd be the hero you were looking for? 😉 Anyways, great stuff! Thank you for everything you're doing! {Embed} media.ccc.de https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaWkfSmIgRs 39C3 - Xous: A Pure-Rust Rethink of the Embedded Operating System Xous is a message-passing microkernel implemented in pure Rust, targeting secure embedded applications. This talk covers three novel aspects of the OS: hardware MMU support (and why we had to make our own chip to get this feature), how and why we implemented the Rust standard library in Rust (instead of calling the C standard library, like most ... 2026-01_media/maxresdefault-AAF83.jpg {Embed} https://theamphour.com/the-amp-hour-84-bunnies-bibelot-bonification/ An Interview with Bunnie Huang - Bunnie's Bibelot Bonification | Th...
